Transferring a license to another domain

Moving your WooCommerce plugin license to a new domain is a straightforward process that can be completed through your Store Boost Kit account dashboard. Whether you’re migrating to a new hosting provider, changing your domain name, or moving from a staging site to production, you can easily transfer your active license.

Before You Begin

Important Prerequisites:

  • Ensure you have admin access to both the old and new WordPress sites
  • Your license must be currently active (not expired)
  • The new domain must meet our plugin’s system requirements
  • Create backups of both sites before making changes

Step-by-Step License Transfer Process

Step 1: Deactivate License on Current Domain

Access your current WordPress site:

  • Log into your WordPress admin dashboard on the current domain
  • Navigate to your plugin settings (look for “Store Boost Kit” or your specific plugin name in the sidebar)
  • Click on the “License” tab

Deactivate the current license:

  • Locate your license key in the license management section
  • Click the “Deactivate License” button next to your active license
  • You should see a confirmation message: “License deactivated successfully”
  • The license status will change from “Active” to “Inactive”

Step 2: Install Plugin on New Domain

Prepare your new WordPress site:

  • Ensure WordPress and WooCommerce are installed and updated on your new domain
  • Download the latest plugin version from your Store Boost Kit account
  • Install and activate the plugin on your new domain following our standard installation guide

Step 3: Activate License on New Domain

Navigate to license settings on new site:

  • Log into your WordPress admin dashboard on the new domain
  • Go to your plugin settings and click the “License” tab
  • Locate the license key input field

Enter and activate your license:

  • Copy your license key from your original purchase email or account dashboard
  • Paste the license key into the designated field
  • Click “Activate License”
  • Wait for the activation confirmation message
  • Verify the license status shows “Active” with the correct expiration date
