How to rolling back to a previous version?

If you’re experiencing issues with the latest version of your WooCommerce plugin, you can easily roll back to a previous stable version. We maintain the last two versions of each plugin in your account for exactly this purpose.

When You Might Need to Roll Back

Rolling back to an earlier version can help resolve:

  • Compatibility issues with your theme or other plugins
  • New bugs introduced in the latest update
  • Performance problems after an update
  • Feature changes that don’t work with your store setup

Step 1: Access Your Account

  • Navigate to your Store Boost Kit account:
  • Visit storeboostkit.com/account
  • Enter your login credentials (email and password)
  • If you’ve forgotten your password, use the “Reset Password” link

Step 2: Find Previous Versions

  • Once logged in, click on the Downloads tab in your account menu
  • Locate your plugin in the downloads list
  • Look for older version entries below the current version
  • Previous versions are labeled with their version numbers (e.g., Plugin-Name-v2.0.4, Plugin-Name-v1.9.8)

Step 3: Download the Previous Version

  • Select the version you want to roll back to
  • Click on the version number link for the older version
  • The ZIP file will download automatically to your computer
  • Save the file in an easily accessible location (Desktop or Downloads folder)
  • Note the version number for your records

Install the Previous Version

Important: Before proceeding, create a backup of your site to ensure you can restore if needed.

Method 1: Direct Plugin Replacement (Recommended)

  • Log into your WordPress admin dashboard
  • Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins
  • Find your current plugin and click Deactivate (don’t delete it yet)
  • Go to Plugins → Add New
  • Click Upload Plugin
  • Choose your downloaded older version ZIP file
  • Click Install Now
  • Once installed, click Activate Plugin

Method 2: Manual Replacement

  • Deactivate the current plugin
  • Delete the current plugin from your site
  • Install the previous version following the standard installation process
  • Reactivate your license if prompted

Verifying the Rollback

  • Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins
  • Check that the plugin shows the correct older version number
  • Test your plugin’s functionality to ensure it’s working as expected
  • Verify that the issues you were experiencing have been resolved
